Brush 9 is used to fight field and grass
fires. It has a 250 Gallon Per Minute pump with two hose reels that can let the firefighters walk into areas where the truck cannot drive. As
a four-wheel drive vehicle it can easily go off-road. It has a
wench in case the vehicle is unable to be driven out. In 2004 we
started to carry foam additive on this truck so that it can be added to the
water. It also carries various shovels, rakes,
etc. It is currently kept at
Company 9.
