Tanker 9 is a Tanker.
Built on an International 4900 chassis with a body by S &
S Fire Apparatus, it went into service in
October 1992. 8 Tanker 9's elliptical
tank holds 2000 gallons of water and it carries a fold-a-tank on the
passenger side. As with all of our vehicles it is equipped with a dump valve
that can be controlled from the cab or rear of vehicle, to fill the
fold-a-tank that holds 2500 gallons of water. It also has a Waterous 750 GPM pump with three pre-connects
(places to connect fire hoses). 8 Tanker 9 is housed at Company
9.
