Dog starts fire in truck (12 images)

On December 26 at 20:39, German Township Fire Department was dispatched to a vehicle fire on New Harmony Rd. The first units on scene found a fully involved pickup truck. The crews pulled a line and soon had the fire extinguished. Investigation revealed that the owner's dog had chewed on the extension cord that was used to connect a block heater on the truck. The resulting short circuit caused the fire. The family was not home when the fire occurred. Neighbors saw the fire and called 911.
