Southwestern Indiana and Western Kentucky hit with ice and snow.

A few pictures from German Township area and Evansville show some destruction and also the beautiful scenes the storm that hit on January 27th and continued over night. The Vanderburgh County Dispatched was busy and kept the departments covering the area for down wires. There were a number of dispatches for fires- most were not major problems. Just getting around on roads with an inch or more of ice covered with 4 to 7 inches of snow was a major task. Later as branches and trees fell on the roads added to the troubles.
