RV Fire With Very Close Exposure

On April 4, 2006, right before the usual evening pager test, the tones dropped for a fire in a recreation vehicle parked next to a house on Gabes Dr. Engine 7 was first engine on scene and the crew pulled a 1 3/4" line and attacked the fire which had already vented itself on the side nearest the house. Once the flames were beaten down enough to get inside the vehicle it was wet down, pull apart and then repeat the whole process over again. Meanwhile, the horn was blaring away, and because the cab was gutted all the plastic levers were gone. Finally, the crew got the hood open and disconnected the battery.
